At Golden, we are farmer florists who believe in the beauty of nature. By utilizing local and seasonal blooms, we not only reduce our carbon footprint but also celebrate the unique beauty of each passing season. Your local flower farmer is often a no-till, no fertilizer, no pesticide steward of the land and we dig that. There are times we use imported flowers, like during the winter or for special requests but we are learning every day and strive to support local without compromising quality as often as we can. What this means is sometimes a flower you really like is not in season (ie still growing or done growing), and there is another seasonal bloom waiting to surprise you with its beauty

This business is more than flowers— it’s part of our master plan to bring a new farm to Nevada county.

Today Golden grows 75% of the flowers we sell at our new farm location, and over the next 5 years our vision is to grow more flowers and food for our community. Brittany, the owner of Golden Flowers, is an agronomist by trade who over the last 10 years has integrated sustainable and regenerative agricultural practices into mainstream, large scale farming operations across the US, Europe, Mexico and New Zealand
